Performance Management

Performance management links employee abilities and on-the-job behaviors to business results. Forward thinking organizations implement a performance management system to measure and reward performance that produces the results needed to execute plans and achieve objectives.

Performance management involves:

  • Establishing business goals and identifying needs
  • Setting expectations for performance and providing timely, ongoing feedback
  • Identifying gaps between expected results and actual performance outcomes
  • Assessing root causes of unmet performance expectations
  • Taking action that closes the expectation gap

Our role is to coach and train your managers and supervisors to approach performance management from a systems perspective. This entails adopting a behavioral based hiring and selection process, using easily understood performance models to benchmark actual performance against established standards, conducting meaningful performance reviews using job specific evaluation tools, and developing action plans that will help employees meet organizational goals.
